About the Artist
Barbara Sullivan received a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln in 1985. She worked professionally for more than 10 years as a graphic designer, art director and convention/meeting planner before concentrating on her career as a painter. Barbara has exhibited and sold her work in competitions, art fairs, festivals and regional galleries. Her work is included in numerous private and corporate collections. In 1998, Barbara had a one-person show at the Birger-Sandzen Gallery in Lindsborg, Kansas, as well as a one-person show at Gallery 9 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a Signature Member of the Kansas Watercolor Society. Barbara currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska where she is taking graduate courses in museum studies at the University of Nebraska—Kearny. She works as an administrative assistant at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.
